Structured childcare at TotalCare is designed to support children 3month to 5 years old in a calm, engaging environment while parents work with focus and peace of mind. Our program follows age-appropriate routines with attentive caregivers, low ratios, and intentional activities that encourage development and security. Every detail is built to ensure children feel safe, supported, and cared for—so parents can stay present and productive just steps away.

Scheduling

Work + Childcare members reserve childcare in advance based on their selected plan, with consistent days and times to support routine and predictability for both parents and children. Reservations are managed through a secure member portal, allowing you to plan work blocks with confidence. Limited flexibility is available for schedule adjustments, subject to availability.

Ratios

We maintain intentionally low child-to-caregiver ratios to ensure attentive, responsive care at all times. Children are grouped by age and developmental stage, allowing caregivers to meet individual needs while fostering a calm, structured environment. Ratios are capped to prioritize quality of care over volume.

Security & Care Standards

Children are cared for in a secure, access-controlled space with staff trained in safety, emergency procedures, and child development best practices. Authorized caregivers only, check-in and check-out protocols, and monitored spaces ensure accountability throughout the day. Our standards are designed to provide parents with confidence, transparency, and peace of mind while they work on site.

Common Questions

What ages do you serve?

We serve infants 3 months up to preschool age of 5 years to ensure developmentally appropriate care. Age availability may vary based on current enrollment and ratios. Specific age details are shared during your tour and intake process.

Is this a daycare?
No. TotalCare offers structured, limited-capacity childcare to on-site working parents. Care is designed to support focused work blocks and wellness capacity support.
Do I need to stay on site while my child is in care?
Yes. Work + Childcare is designed for parents who are working on premises during their scheduled childcare time. This allows for immediate accessibility while maintaining a calm, secure environment. Only time parents are not required to be on site is during parents night out events.
How do you handle illnesses?
If a child shows signs of illness during care, parents are notified immediately and given two options: pick up their child and return once symptoms have been absent for 24 hours, or request same-day isolated care, subject to availability. Isolated care provides one-to-one supervision in a separate space away from other children. Families seeking sick or isolated care must call ahead to confirm availability before arrival.
Who are the caregivers?
Our caregivers are experienced educated, vetted professionals with training in early childhood care, safety protocols, and structured routines. Each caregiver is selected to align with our calm, respectful, and development-focused approach to care.
How many children are in the space at one time?
Capacity is intentionally limited and varies by age group to maintain low ratios and a peaceful environment. The children capacity is 15 total across all age groups. We have 1:3 support ration at all times. This ensures each child receives attentive care and each parent can work without disruption.
What if my child needs me during the day?
Parents are always accessible while on site, and caregivers will communicate as needed. Our structure supports children’s independence while honoring the comfort of knowing a parent is nearby.
What will my child be doing during their day?
Children follow a consistent daily routine that includes age-appropriate Montessori-inspired learning, early literacy and STEM activities through guided play, and structured movement to support physical development and coordination. The day is balanced with hands-on exploration, creative learning, and active play. Children also enjoy occasional special guests and indoor field-trip experiences that make learning engaging and memorable.
Is there a way to know what my child is doing while I am working or using the amenities?
Yes. Parents have secure livestream access to their child’s room and shared play spaces, along with real-time updates through our parent app. The app provides photos and notes on activities, meals, bathroom use, and rest throughout the day so you can stay informed and connected.
Are meals and naps provided?
We provide healthy snacks throughout the day; parents bring labeled breakfast and/or lunch for their child. TotalCare is a nut-free facility, water is provided, and juice is not permitted. If a meal is forgotten, prepackaged meals are available for purchase, and parents are welcome to join their child for lunch on site.

Rest and nap time are built into the day based on age and schedule. We provide cots, and families bring a blanket and optional comfort item; children who do not nap or attend half days enjoy quiet activities during rest periods.
